ECO-Duo Vario
Maximum precision in the application of farm fertilizer
- Determination of plant nutrient requirements using application maps within small areas
- Precise control of fertilizer quantities and the option of switching off individual sections via our ECO-Duo Vario in conjunction with our FLUSTO valves
- Two positive displacement pumps that are controlled and driven individually and independently of each other
- ECO-Duo Vario is based on ISOBUS and is compatible with advanced CCI terminals
Our farmers apply the liquid manure very precisely in the field, making it available to the plants. They cultivate their land on a site-specific basis and control the fertilizer quantities using application maps. Most soils do not have the same nutrient requirements across the area, which is why different values often result within a few meters. Nutrient supply is made even more precise by controlling the exact quantities and switching off individual sections. Zunhammer has developed the ECO-Duo Vario for different quantities of liquid manure or nutrients per half side.
Each half of the distribution boom can be supplied with liquid manure in variable quantities independently of each other. The system consists of two displacement pumps that are controlled and driven individually and independently of each other.
The new ECO-Duo Vario system is based on ISOBUS. Zunhammer supports the further developed CCI terminals. By adding a second setpoint, these are able to halve the entire working width in the grid of the application map.
Two setpoints enable different application rates on the left and right side of the machine for even greater precision. A CCI terminal that supports this function is required.
This allows you to react quickly to a reduced fertilizer requirement on one side, even for just a few metres of field travel, and control the application rate in an energy-saving and convenient way. To make this regulation infinitely variable, the speed of each individual displacement pump is controlled by ISOBUS and adjusted by the drive motor. Only one ISOBUS terminal is required and the operation works on only one changed side.

Set points enable different application rates
ECO-DUO Vario in use
The system consists of two individually ISOBUS-controlled and speed-regulated positive displacement pumps. The two longitudinal bars of the vehicle frame are used for two separate pressure lines. This results in two differently controllable delivery flows, which enable different application rates for the left and right side of the distributor. With very wide distributor booms, the application rates can be optimized separately at the corresponding forward speed. The width of individual sections can be switched off and/or the slurry quantity can be geo-referenced to the nutrient requirement. The other side arm/boom remains unaffected. This allows you to react quickly to a reduced fertilizer requirement on one side, even for just a few metres of a field run. The plants on each side of the boom are supplied with the necessary nutrients separately. Two parallel slurry pumps ensure a high filling capacity and at the same time a large working width ensures a fast application rate. ECO-DUO Vario guarantees high precision in fertilization. The variable pump drive is light, compact and space-saving. At the same time, the ground pressure is kept low and the maximum external width of 3.00 m is maintained during road transport.
ISOBUS operation:
The application rate is controlled fully automatically by GPS per hectare separately and precisely for each side. ECO-DUO Vario is very easy to operate with ZUHAMMER ISOBUS. The display shows a tanker in practical use. The driver is driving a tridem with ECO.DUO Vario with a stored application map. He works with VAN-Control and different amounts of N in kg per ha on the left and right separately according to the specified field map. Other nutrients (P, K) are recorded at the same time.
With manual quantity control, the target value can be adjusted as usual by pressing on the display. The proven ZUNHAMMER operating concept remains as usual. This view alone is new for ECO-DUO Vario applications.
FLUSTO automatic shut-off valve
Fully automatic Section-Control regulation of the working width of slurry distributors is inconceivable without automatable shut-off valves for individual spreading nozzles.
The FLUSTO valve has a new design for fast and uncomplicated shut-off of the slurry flow in a slurry hose leading to the outlet of the distributor nozzle. The process is controlled fully automatically via ISOBUS.
- Full passage without obstacle Step
- Transparency enables error detection
- No tools required for troubleshooting
- Low pressure below 2 bar saves air volume
- High restoring forces of the slurry hose
- Foreign bodies are trapped in the slurry
- Fully automatic pneumatic control
