Zunhammer

A company with tradition

The Zunhammer company was founded in 1956 and developed from a former Schäfflerei into a vehicle construction company. In 1958, the first slurry tanker with a wooden barrel left the factory. Time and again, the slurry technology pioneers were able to inspire the specialist public and set new standards in development. In 1985, the entire production was switched from wood to plastic and an enormous weight reduction was achieved with the same stability. At the same time, the tank shape was optimized. In the course of environmental protection, liquid manure spreading has become a sophisticated technology. Today, the liquid manure is spread using attached distributors. Today, the Upper Bavarian family business employs around 200 people and has one of the most modern production facilities for the construction of GRP tanks.

2023

Zunhammer receives the silver Agritechnica Innovation Award for ECO-Duo Vario.

2023

Zunhammer receives the "System Components Trophy 2023 Enigneers Choice - WINNER" award for the Flusto valve.

2022

VAN Control dual: The nutrient measurement system is presented and receives DLG approval.

2021

Expansion of the production facilities

2020

The new VAN Control pumping station is introduced to the agricultural machinery market.

2018

After a further 3 years of testing and development since the delivery of our 10,000th slurry tanker with the GLIDEFIX 15 m, this successful trailing shoe spreader is now also available with a working width of 18 m in the fixed attachment or "four-point" versions from series production.

2017

The DLG certification for VAN-Control 2.0 is here: the revised Fertilizer Ordinance gives electronics a further boost, among other things through verification requirements.

2017

The ZUNI-Swan was presented at Agritechnica.
... the all-rounder for the Xerion!

2015

The consistent implementation of the slogan "We transport liquid manure, not steel!" leads to a completely new trailer concept: Zunhammer wins a silver medal at Agritechnica 2015 with the frameless ULTRA-LIGHT tanker. The ULT-18 is also named Machine of the Year 2016 by the DLV.

2014

The next expansion is imminent. Due to the increasingly complex vehicles, the linkage assembly is integrated into series production. Completion and move into the new hall in 2014.

2007

Further significant expansion of the production facilities in Biebing. Electronics are becoming increasingly important in modern slurry tankers. After two years of experience with prototypes, we adopt ISOBUS control as an option in series production. Awarded the silver medal for the VAN-Control product at Agritechnica 2007. Over 40 registered patents, some of them European, speak for themselves.

1995

Significant expansion of the production facilities to double capacity at the Biebing plant. The first concepts for the future self-propelled vehicles mature in the mind.

1990

In 1990, sons Sebastian and Rudi Zunhammer took over the business, continuing the family tradition and focusing on innovation, cutting-edge technology and solid quality. Over the years, new optimizations are constantly being developed, perfectly aligned to the wishes and needs of customers, the requirements of the market and the stricter environmental protection guidelines. Additional production of truck bodies, special transporters, special vehicles and trailers begins.

1985

The last wooden barrel is built. Production is switched completely to polyester tanks.

1972

The future is on the horizon - the first vehicles with fiberglass-reinforced polyester tanks are built. From the limited palette available at the time, the yellow color known from wood stain is used.

1959

He develops a centrifugal barrel, which he registers as the first German utility model. The company soon becomes a vehicle construction company, constantly offering new solutions in the field of slurry technology.

1956

Sebastian Zunhammer senior, a tireless tinkerer and visionary, founds a barrel-making and silo construction company in Traunwalchen, Upper Bavaria.
