DUPLO nozzle
Green grass stays green!
The new DUPLO nozzle for sliding shoe distributors is made of plastic and is
- Corrosion resistant
- light
- insensitive
- quick to change
- Very insensitive to clogging
Trailing shoe spreaders are considered pioneers in the field of spreading close to the ground. With this method, the soil is lightly scraped up and the liquid manure is placed on top. Over time, however, it has become apparent that strip spreading does not only have advantages, as fodder contamination from manure residues plays a decisive role, especially in grassland harvesting. A high dry matter content, a cutting height that is too low and unfavorable weather conditions have a negative impact on this. The slurry technology manufacturer Zunhammer develops the Duplo nozzle with a view to clean green fodder.
Technically, the key difference to the tried and tested nozzles is the line spacing. This is reduced from 25 cm to 12.5 cm, resulting in significantly narrower slurry strips per outlet. This demonstrably counteracts the problem of feed contamination. Zunhammer has also opted for a lightweight design with corrosion-resistant and durable plastic. The skid on which the nozzle is mounted and the spring of the skid foot are made of steel. The basic concept of the Zunhammer brand is based on a high payload due to the low dead weight of the drums during slurry transportation. The weight of the spreader is not increased by the installation of the Duplo nozzles compared to the tried and tested nozzles. In addition to the reduction in feed contamination, practical use confirms that the ingenious design eliminates the need for prior separation and prevents blockages. The slurry technology manufacturer’s customers are impressed by the new Duplo nozzles, which were already launched on the market in 2021.
